KADDI Dietetic Internship Mission

The Keith & Associates Distance Dietetic Internship aims to train dietetic interns to become competent entry-level registered dietitian nutritionists, delivering the highest possible standard of quality for patient care and also the highest standard of professionalism and customer care.

KADDI Dietetic Internship Goals 

Goal #1

 

Prepare graduates to become competent entry-level dietitians.​

 

Goal #2

 

Prepare graduates to deliver the highest possible standard of quality for patient care and the highest   standard of professionalism and customer care.

KADDI Dietetic Internship Objectives 

  •  At least 80% of full-time program interns in the dietetic internship option complete program requirements within 12 months (150% of the program length). 

  • At least 80% of part-time program interns in the dietetic internship option complete program requirements within 18 months (150% of the program length).

  • At least 80% of full-time program interns in the student-identified graduate degree program meets requirements within 12 months (150% program length).  

  • At least 80% of part-time program interns in the student-identified graduate degree option meets requirements within 18 months (150% program length).  

  • At least 80% of interns in the combined MSDI University of Alabama 14-month track complete program requirements within 21 months (150% program length).  

  • At least 80% of interns in the combined MSDI 18-month track at the University of Alabama & the University of Central Arkansas complete program requirements within 27 months (150% program length).  

  • At least 80% of part-time program interns in the combined MSDI option complete program requirements within 36 months (150% of the program length).

  • Of graduates who seek employment, 75 % are employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation.

  • Eighty percent of graduates take the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion.

  • Seventy-five percent of employers will answer “agree” that they are satisfied with graduate’s preparation for entry-level practice.

  • Seventy-five percent of graduates will answer “agree” that they were prepared for entry-level practice. (program-specific goal)

  • At least 75% of employers will answer “agree” that they feel graduates deliver the highest possible standard of quality for patient care and the highest standard of professionalism and customer care. (program-specific goal)

I do think that KADDI helped push me to chase my dreams of wanting to start my own business here in the near future. I also think it allowed me to gain confidence more quickly given I did feel like I was on my own for most of it.
